Dear Members,
Well that's our first two mini kids and colour belt gradings done! We have the colour belt grading results, stripes and belts ready for your next class (yes we are indeed handing them out in the holidays, but we'll save yours for you if you are unable to make training during the holidays). Speaking of the holidays - remember our reduced timetable starts from today just for the two weeks of the school holidays - then we are back to normal. If you are not sure what classes you can attend and which times you should be coming to, please contact me ASAP as I am more than happy to point you in the right direction. As always there are no classes on public holidays so there is no class next Monday, Anzac Day (Monday 25 April). TKD Kubz we have arranged an alternate time for you next week which we will talk about with you today during class. Three Kings & Diocesan Branch During Holidays If you are a Three Kings or Diocesan branch member you are welcome to attend training at our Ellerslie branch (198 Marua Rd, Ellerslie) during the school holidays. Diocesan members may attend a Monday 6.30pm, Tuesday 6.30pm, Wednesday 5.30pm or Thursday 6.30pm class. Three Kings students will receive a separate email outlining the best class options for them. Auckland North Regional Training The first Auckland North Regional Training in the build up to the National Championships, the biggest tournament in the NZ calendar was a great success yesterday. There will be training sessions on Sundays from 11-12.30pm almost every Sunday in the lead up - check out the link above for more details. And if you are keen to keep up with regional events and news, all Warrior TKD members and their parents are able to join the Auckland North regional specific group on facebook. Please note that this group is different to and separate from the Warrior TKD group which is club specific. And finally - the kid were flying all over the place at Warrior Three Kings last week! With flying side kicks that is - as you can see from the photo for this weeks' newsletter. You can check out more photos of the action at Three Kings here. Have a great training week! Best wishes, Rachel Bates Centre Manager

Dear Members,
It's another big week with our first Mini Kids Grading for 2016 on Thursday, forms for our Colour Belt Grading due by the end of the week, and of course our much anticipated Warrior Club Tournament on Saturday! It's not too late to register for the tournament if you haven't already - we've had lots of registrations come in and it should be a great day. Don't forget that in two weeks' time our reduced timetable starts for the April school holidays. Please check out the timetable here and make a note of the correct time for you or your child to come during the school holidays. Class Changes This Week Due to the Mini Kids Grading there are a few class changes this Thursday: - There is no 3.30pm or 4.30pm class on Thursday. If you normally come at that time on a Thursday and are not grading, you are welcome to come and watch the grading and attend a class at the same time on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday this week instead. - The Thursday 5.30pm class will be slightly shorter this week starting at 5.45pm to allow for congestion to move after the grading. Regional Training Warrior Taekwon-Do is a part of the Auckland North Region for taekwon-do in New Zealand along with about 20 other clubs. Every year the region runs regional training in the lead up to the National Tournament, which this year is in Tauranga in July. Regional training is compulsory for anyone interested in competing at Nationals and optional for anyone interested in just getting in some extra training. It's a great opportunity to be a regional representative and learn and train with other taekwon-do enthusiasts from around the region of all belts and ages. Regional trainings will be at 198 Marua Rd on Sundays from 11-12.30pm under Head Coach Mr Matthew Davey, starting from Sunday 17 April. If you are interested in attending you can find out more and register for the training here. Have a great training week! Best wishes, Rachel Bates Centre Manager |
