Oceania's Here We Come!

We're just about to head to the airport to fly to the Cook Islands as part of the last wave of the Warrior contingent competing and contributing to the 6th Oceania Taekwon-Do Championships!

New Zealand, Cook Islands and Australia are competing in Rarotonga on Saturday Cook Islands time, which is Sunday New Zealand time.

Zach Patai, Danielle Patai, Anton Keay-Davies, Suhaila Sayid Ghoolam, Roisin Giles, Kavita Jaduram, Debbie Hart, and Sonya Robinson are all competing in individual events, and we also have a Warrior team made up of Roisin, Kavita, Danielle, Zach and Suhaila competing in team patterns as one of the patterns teams representing New Zealand at the tournament. 

Also there will be Master McPhail as a committee member of the Oceania Taekwon-Do Federation and as an official, and myself as a helper and supporter.

The first and last time I saw the Cook Islanders compete was at the Star Series Tournament in Pukekohe in 2010.  They were very strong there, as you will see in the video below, so it will be interesting to see how the tournament goes!
