Warrior Taekwon-Do News: 1 June

Dear Members,

We have amazing news for you today! Miss Roisin Giles successfully defended her 1st degree patterns title at the World Championships in Italy on Friday night NZ time to become a Double World Champion!! We are absolutely thrilled for Miss Giles and look forward to welcoming our World Champion back in two weeks time when she arrives back in New Zealand and seeing her gold medal for ourselves.

Both Miss Giles and Miss Geurts have represented New Zealand very well at the Championships along with the rest of the team and we are so proud of them both.

New Zealand has dominated the top country leader board since day one of the competition, and at the time of writing this newsletter it is looking cautiously positive that New Zealand will be taking out the Best Overall Country award.

(Ed update - yes! We did it! NZ is number one in the world!!!!)

No Classes Today
As it is a public holiday, there are no classes at Warrior today. Mis Geurts & Mr Milne's classes have some special make up classes tomorrow which they have already been contacted about. Everyone else who normally trains on Monday is welcome to train on another day this week if they wish (and if you're not sure what other class you could attend this week, contact me and I'll be happy to help).
