Warrior Taekwon-Do News: 13 October

Dear Members,

Welcome back to everyone who has been on holiday! We're looking forward to a great last quarter of 2014! 

Today our full timetable resumes with all classes running as per normal, so please come to your correct class times.

Colour Belt Grading Next Week
Our final colour belt grading is now just over a week away and this week is the final week to get your forms and payment in. Your instructor will give you a form if they have approved you to grade, and you need to bring this form to the office with payment by or on Friday this week - no late forms will be accepted.

Remember you can come to Open Dojang on Saturdays and Sundays between 2-4pm to practice before the grading for free - you just need a keytag from the office one-off which is $5.

Kids 12 & Under!
We are taking a big team of kids from Warrior Taekwon-Do down to the final Pee Wee Tournament for this year in Pukekohe on 16 November 2014 and we'd like to invite YOU to come down with us! All kids who register for the tournament will receive a Warrior Taekwon-Do badge (if they don't already have one) which they can wear proudly on their uniform at the tournament.

The Pee Wee Tournament series is a well-run, fun event and a fantastic opportunity for kids to try their hand at tournaments for the first time (as well as for more seasoned kids to practice their skills). We will be doing some work on tournament skills in class across all branches of Warrior Taekwon-Do in the build up to the tournament so that kids have an idea of what to expect.

You need your ITKD registration number to enter for the event - if you can't find it just flick us an email and we will send it to you.

Under 18s Tournament Registration Closing Soon
If you're yellow belt and above and planning to enter the Under 18s tournament on 25 October you need to get your entry in by Monday next week. We have some Warrior members registered already but I know there were more - so please get your registration in ASAP so you don't miss out!

The organisers are asking for more officials to register, so if you are able to help out as a ring marshall, helper, time keeper or umpire please consider registering as an official.

Last Chance for Adults to Train for Free!
Our free adult beginners taster course starts TOMORROW! You'll get to train on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 weeks with two of the most highly regarded Taekwon-Do instructors in New Zealand. This is perfect for complete beginners with no or little experience of Taekwon-Do or martial arts and for ages 13+.
