Dear Members,
Welcome to Term 2! Today our full timetable is back with classes at 3.30pm, 4.30pm,5.30pm and 6.30pm at our Ellerslie centre and normal classes commencing at Three Kings and Diocesan on Tuesday, and we are looking forward to seeing you all again! There are a few short videos on our Instagram page from one of the 6.30pm classes last week - look up @warriortkd to find and follow us on Instagram (where there is different content to what we have on our Facebook page). Anzac Weekend Anzac Day is now Mondayised under the Holidays Amendments Act, and so as Anzac Day falls on Saturday this year there will not be any classes this Saturday or on Monday. We're sorry for those of you who were hoping to train this weekend and hope you enjoy your day off. Please contact us if you would like to train on a different day next week instead and we'll see if we can come up with an alternative for you. Colour Belt Grading Next Week Our first colour belt grading of the year is next Thursday 30 April, arrive 6pm for a 6.30pmstart. As per usual you must have received a colour belt grading application form from your instructor and have returned it with payment to the office by the Friday before the grading, which is this Friday. Instructors will be making their final assessments this week and we have a short timeframe for getting forms and payments back in now, so if you have a form to bring into the office, please allow a little extra time before or after class to finish registration at the office and I will process them as quickly as I can. Free Club Badges For Auckland North Regional Tournament If you are representing Warrior Taekwon-Do at the Auckland North Regional Tournament in May, you are able to receive a free Warrior Taekwon-Do club badge to go on your dobok sleeve (if you don't already have one). If you don't already have a club badge and would like one, either enter the tournament and come to the office to collect your free badge, or if not entering the tournament they are $10 each. Team Events The Auckland North Regional Tournament has team patterns and pre-arranged sparring events open to all ages from the pee wee division (10 and under) and up. We can enter as many teams as we like in both events and all divisions so there is no restriction on how many people can be involved if these are events that interest you. If you are interested in putting together a team pattern or a pre-arranged sparring sequence, we can make available the dojang for some extra practice for your team outside of class times if you are interested (contact us).Best wishes, Rachel Bates Centre Manager
