Warrior Taekwon-Do News: 22 September

Dear Members,

We had such an AMAZING kids grading last week! The whole team are so proud of all the kids who have been promoted to their new stripe - well done! We've uploaded some photos and here and a cool video here!

FREE 3-Week Adult Beginners Taster
Taekwon-Do is not just for the kids, and we're proud to announce that we are holding a FREE 3-Week Adult Taster course at the start of next term! If you're a parent wondering if you could have as much fun as the kids or know anyone aged 13+ who is keen to get active, learn the basics of Taekwon-Do, get some self defence skills or are just curious about Taekwon-Do, this course is for you!

Come and train with two of New Zealand's most highly regarded instructors: Mrs Sonya Robinson (4th degree black belt) and Master Paul McPhail (8th degree black belt) at New Zealand's premiere do-jang facility on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 weeks from Tuesday 14 October. There are limited spaces and we do need at least 10 participants to run the course, so please get your applications in sooner rather than later.

School Holiday Timetable: 27 September - 11 October
During the school holidays we run a limited timetable to ensures we have good class numbers at each class. All of Miss Jacky Geurts’ classes will run as normal. However, all other 3.30pm and 4.30pm kids classes will be combined and run at 4.30pm, and 5.30pm and 6.30pm classes will be combined and run at 6.30pm (with the exception of the Wednesday 5.30pm class, which will run as normal). Saturday classes will continue as usual:
 
Monday: 
Jacky Geurts' Classes - 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm (no change)
Kids - 4.30pm
Kids/Teens/Adults - 6.30pm

Tuesday:
Kids - 4.30pm
Kids/Teens/Adults - 6.30pm

Wednesday:
Kids - 4.30pm
Kids/Teens - 5.30pm

Thursday:
Kids - 4.30pm
Kids/Teens/Adults - 6.30pm

Friday:
Kids - 4.30pm

Saturday:
Parent/Child Class - 9.30am

Holiday Training for Three Kings and Diocesan Branches
If you are a member of one of our satellite clubs you are most welcome to come and train at our Ellerslie location (198 Marua Rd) during the school holidays! Three Kings branch students are welcome to come to any 4.30pm class listed above, and Diocesan students are welcome to come to Monday or Tuesday at 6.30pm or Wednesday at 5.30pm.
 
Coming Up For Prospective Black Belts
Part of the official requirements toward your black belt preparation is to have attended an Instructor Induction Course. The next one is quite soon, on Sunday 28 September at Warrior Training Zone. Members ranked blue belt and above on any age can attend. Click here to register.
