Dear Members,
We hope our Ellerslie members have enjoyed their first full week back in the dojang! (If you haven't seen them already - check out some photos from Thursdays training sessions). This week our Three Kings branch also starts training for 2015 on Tuesday, and our Diocesan School branch on Thursday. And the winners are ... A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who sent in a photo for our Summer Photo Competition! It was a big thrill as each entry came in to see what people had come up with and the hard copy entries on the wall of the dojang have been a talking point over the whole summer. The clear winner of the People's Choice category (chosen by photo likes) was Aarav Kumar's turning kick, and he will be receiving his black belt teddy bear prize in class. Although staff were ineligible for prizes, a big thanks to all of our staff who sent in some really cool photos with special mentions to Mr Matthew Chan's wildly popular and much talked of jumping kick in front of the Louvre in Paris and Mrs Debbie Hart's Taekwon-do pose on top of a truck!!! The winner of the Grand Prize - Best Photo award was extremely hard to decide as there were so many creative photos and an argument could be put forward for any of the photos to win ... however, one photo that really stood out was of Flynn Coxhead's flying sidekick. Congratulations Flynn, we'll get your Taekwon-do gear bag to you in class this week! As a thank you to all of the entrants of our photo competition we are organising spot prizes for you all and will contact entrants by email about how to collect them over the coming week.
