Dear Members,
Our next round of gradings are coming up a little sooner than usual because many of our staff will be travelling to represent New Zealand in the Oceania Championships in the Cook Islands. There are a few changes to how members are approved for grading, how to be registered and how the gradings will run, so please save this newsletter for future reference and ensure you understand the requirements. If you have questions, please discuss with your instructor or your child's instructor. Mini Kids Grading Pre-grading week across all classes: Tue 3 June - Mon 9 June Cut off for grading forms to be received and paid: Friday 20 June Grading: Tuesday 24 June at Warrior Training Zone, Ellerslie, arrive by 3.45pm, start at 4pm This time grading forms will not be handed out to all students, rather, when your child's instructor is satisfied that your child is ready for the Mini Kids grading they will be given a form which needs to be taken by their parent/guardian to the office with payment. The relevant pages in the Mini Kids Handbook must be filled out, but you can show your instructor any time that they have been completed. Other requirements to grade include knowing the syllabus material for promotion and good attendance and attitude during class. The pre-grading week is when instructors will be making formal and informal assessments on student progress to assess whether they are ready for this Mini Kids Grading. If you are absent during this week make sure your instructor knows why. Colour Belt Grading Pre-grading week across all classes: Tue 3 June - Mon 9 June Cut-off for grading forms to be received and paid: Monday 16 June Training & Grading: Wednesday 18 June, 7pm Warrior Taekwon-Do is combining with Paul M Taekwon-Do (Papakura) for a special grading / training event held at Warrior Training Zone, Ellerslie. Members from both clubs will grade on Wednesday 18th June, and all members are invited to attend the session to train together and support those grading. We will still hold normal mini-kids classes that day, butthe 5.30pm and 6.30pm sessions will be combined at Warrior and start at 7pm. We expect to finish around 9pm although kids will be able to leave at around 8pm. Grading forms will not be handed out to everyone - rather, you will be given a grading form by your instructor, when your instructor is satisfied that you are ready to grade. During the pre-grading week across all classes, instructors will be making assessments on your progress to decide whether to put you forward for the grading. If you are absent during this week make sure your instructor knows why. Support Our Team The Auckland North Regional Tournament is this Sunday from 9am at the AMI Netball Centre.
