Dear Members, New Self Defence Syllabus Our national governing organisation has been putting a lot of work into updating the self defence syllabus and step sparring syllabus. In the weekend some of our instructors attended an update course so that they will be able to pass on the updated knowledge and information. Before Training A reminder that every student should bring their own water bottle to class at every session. Currently we're having a lot of glasses left dirty in the sink upstairs. Apart from the fact that it goes against the spirit of the dojang to leave a mess, it is not the intention of the kitchen items upstairs for them to be used in lieu of your own drink bottle during training. So please, students, bring your own named drink bottle to class every week. It's also a good time to remind all students that jewellery needs to be removed before training and fingernails should be cut short - this helps us all stay safe when we train. Auckland North Team Training Those of you who are serious about competing in the Auckland North Regional Tournament on 25 May and the National Tournament in Tauranga in July should look out for details of the Auckland North Regional team trainings which should be coming soon. For those who are newer to Taekwon-Do, these trainings are run by the Auckland North region (of which we are part) and are an opportunity for dedicated tournament training and coaching for colour belts in the lead up to New Zealand's major tournament, the National Tournament. They are also a great opportunity to meet and train with Taekwon-Do students from all over our region as well as improving and developing your Taekwon-Do skills and technique. Have a great training week! Best wishes, The Warrior Taekwon-Do Team
