Dear Members,
Grading Forms & Payment Due by Tuesday Next Week Make sure you get your grading forms signed and to the office by Tuesday 15 April - no late entries will be accepted. Remember to do some extra practice and ask your instructor any questions you may have about your techniques/the grading well before the grading too. We remind colour belts of the new tiered grading fee system: 10th-9th Gup (white to yellow stripe) - $60 9th-8th Gup (yellow stripe to yellow) - $60 8th-7th Gup (yellow to green stripe) - $60 7th-6th Gup (green stripe to green) - $70 6th-5th Gup (green to blue stripe) - $70 5th-4th Gup (blue stripe to blue) - $70 4th-3rd Gup (blue to red stripe) - $80 3rd-2nd Gup (red stripe to red) - $80 2nd-1st Gup (red to black stripe) - $80 For families, there is a $25 discount for each additional family member in a single grading, with the total grading fee for a family being no more than $130 for a single grading. Invoices for Bank Deposit Anyone who ordered a uniform or selected bank deposit as their payment method last week should have already received an invoice via email. Please make sure that invoices are paid into our NEW bank account number, and use the invoice number in the reference. If you have not received an invoice for forms and orders which came in before or on Friday last week, please contact the office. Uniform (Dobok) Orders Our special deal on doboks is only running until midday on Friday 11 April so make sure you get your online order form and payment in on time! Read full instructions on how to order and fill out the form HERE. International Taekwon-Do (ITKD) AGM The Annual General Meeting of our governing organisation, International Taekwon-Do, is being held at 12pm on Sunday 27 April at 198 Marua Rd. All registered members are welcome to attend the AGM. Umpire Course ITKD is running an umpire course on Saturday 17 May at 198 Marua Rd. Members who have attended past umpire courses have found them extremely valuable, both in being able to contribute more at tournaments (and earn credits required come applying to grade for black belt) and understanding an umpire perspective on scoring which has in turn helped them understand how to do their best as a competitor. We highly recommend this course which is open to members of all ages and also open to mums and dads. Scroll to the bottom and register here. Upcoming Public Holidays & Reduced Timetable Over School Holidays There will be no training on Good Friday (18 April) or Easter Monday (21 April) as they are public holidays. From 22 April until 9 May we will be running a reduced timetable at our Ellerslie location over the school holidays to have better class numbers: Mon preschool class running at 4.30pm and 5.30pm only Mon-Fri 3.30pm and 4.30pm classes are COMBINED and running at 4.30pm Mon-Fri 5.30pm and 6.30pm classes are COMBINED and running at 6.30pm Saturday 9.30am class will run as usual. Make sure you mark this in your diary. Have a great training week! Best wishes, The Warrior Taekwon-Do Team
