WTKD News: 7 July

Dear Members,

Greetings from Rarotonga!! I had to write this newsletter before I boarded the plane, but all going well, according to the time difference it's Sunday today in Rarotonga and yesterday was the Oceania Taekwon-Do Championships. If we managed to get an internet connection we will have tried our best to post something on our facebook page about how the tournament went - otherwise we'll bomb you with photos of how we're managing to endure this sunny, tropical island paradise once we're back!

Holiday Timetable
The school holidays are here! We're running a limited holiday timetable at our Ellerslie location in order to have better class numbers between 5 and 20 July as follows:

3-5 year old class - 4.30pm and 5.30pm sessions will run on Mondays 
Mon-Fri 3.30pm and 4.30pm classes are COMBINED and running at 4.30pm
Mon-Fri 5.30pm and 6.30pm classes are COMBINED and running at 6.30pm
Saturday 9.30am classes at Stanhope Rd School Hall will continue to run except on 5 July

Some of our classes will have very experienced guest instructors this week.  Please make sure you treat our guest instructors, and newcomers trying Taekwon-Do during the holidays with the utmost respect and courtesy and give them a warm Warrior welcome.

Special Guest Tonight & Wednesday Night!
Tonight and Wednesday at 6.30pm we have the privilege of hosting Mr John Matsuoka, 5th Degree black belt at Warrior Taekwon-Do.  In case you're wondering why the name is so familiar, Mr Matsuoka Snr is the father of Mr Kevin Matsuoka Jnr - instructor of some of our kids classes.  Mr John Matsuoka has been training in Taekwon-Do since 1969, and has a huge wealth of experience to share with you. Many of you will already have met Mr Matsuoka as he has helped a great many people at the open sessions on Sundays.  We're inviting everyone aged 10 and over to come along tonight and/or Wednesday at 6.30pm as additional free sessions this holidays to train with Mr Matsuoka.

Pee Wee Tournament - July 20
At lot of fun was had last week practicing pee wee tournament skills! Now's the time to register for the Pee Wee event, if you're aged 12 or under.  Join the other Warrior members who have already entered by registering here.  $20 is extremely good value to be able to compete in four events and have a fun day at the same time.  Some of our Warrior staff will be at the tournament as well.
